Day Nine
The last walking day, ending on the white stones of Jōdogahama — the beach called paradise.
Sakiyama to Jōdogahama · trail day six · Sunday 11 October 2026

11.34am. Six under the pines. Sent by Virginia.
Five photographs and a clip from Virginia. Six of them in a selfie under the pines at 11.34, the sea behind; two on a bench at 12.33 with the packs off; a heap of beach-washed buoys and floats at 1.31; bamboo at 2.48; and at 3.35 a cove of turquoise water seen from the cliff.
The 11.34 is all six in one frame — caps and sunglasses, the pines and the sea behind, Virginia holding the phone. The 12.33 is two of them on a bench in the forest, packs on the ground, one in a cap looking into the lens. The 1.31 is a heap of beach rubbish arranged into something: buoys, floats, crates and a sack, every colour, stacked against the sky. The 2.48 is a stand of bamboo with the light coming through, and the 3.35 the cove — grey rock, pines, and water so clear the bottom shows through it.

Nothing written with Sunday’s frames. The log has added nothing.
Six in one frame, and a cove you could see the bottom of.
